The following settings define how you connect to the FTP
Site of your choice.

FTPDirect - Attempt to
connect to the site directly

FTPProxy - Use the proxy
server as defined in the Proxy Server and Proxy Port.
This type of proxy is usually an Internet Proxy server like
Squid. The Proxy Separator is what defines what
separates the server name and proxy port - it is isually @,
or $ on Novell Bordermanager Proxy servers. NOTE :
Encryption is not possible using this type of
proxy.

FTPSocks4 - Use Socks version
4 protocol to connect to the socks server

FTPSocks 4a - Use Socks
version 4a protocol to connect to the socks
server

FTPSocks5 - Use Socks version
5 protocol to connect to teh socks server

Socks Server - the hostname
or IP address of the Socks server

Socks Port - the port to
connect to when connecting to the socks server - usually
1080

Username - Only required for
Socks 5 proxy - and usually optional depending on the socks
server

Password - Only required for
Socks 5 proxy - and usually optional depending on the socks
server

Always Passive - Always use
passive mode for your FTP Client connections
